About the place
With a large cosy living room with plenty of comfy sofas to relax after a day sightseeing, a fully stocked bar, and two large dining rooms to catch up with fellow travellers, or skype home with the family.
All of our rooms are En-suite, there is fast Wifi access throughout the whole building, including in all of the rooms, and 24-hour access by Electronic Keycard.
Astor York can be accessed on foot from York railway station in 10 minutes, or by bus from the town centre.

Important information
Reservations must be made for guests over the age of 18. Any reservations made for those under the minimum age will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund.
The hostel organises daily events aimed at backpackers between the ages of 18-30, it is therefore suggested that guests under the age of 40 would enjoy the hostel the most.
Proof of identification must be shown on arrival and can include a passport, driving license and national identity cards. We cannot accept paper driving licences, or student, or employee IDs as proof of identity and failure to show proof or a copy upon arrival will result in the cancellation of a reservation without a refund. Old but gold - The perfect words for this one. Good food (nothing much, but makes you full). Great people. Great vibes. Clean. Well priced. Beautiful.
Lovely breakfast. Enjoyed the sun at the common area outside. Kind and helpful staff. Atmosphere is so relaxed, no negativity. The room and bed were clean and comfortable.
