Boho Hostel

This hostel in St Julians has a very good vibe. Really really good.

Wonderful atmosphere. The hostel was filled with great fun people to hang out with. The staff organised fun activities as well to establish a good connection between people staying there. Nice garden to relax in and common space. Kitchen was well equipped. And it was clean.

Extreme warm and friendly welcome of new guests, many informations for the guests, the owner Penny is magical, her warmness is unique!!! Very cozy interior of hostel and garden, the hostel-cat "Cat Stevens" is so cute. Extremely clean, Hostel is in a nice, quiet residential area. You feel like at home, in a big, friendly Family.

There is a very homey, cosy atmosphere. Nice garden and clean bathrooms. The staff is youthfull and extremely helpful, giving good tips on how best to explore the island.

The people and atmosphere were just amazing! I can't wait to go back again in the near future! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Also, Javier who was working there was awesome! He did a great job of making my stay comfortable and showing me around town.

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The hostel as a very homey feel. There are tons of solo travelers and so there is always someone to go on a trip with, eat with, cook with, or go out at night with! The hostel is always organizing BBQs and excursions. If you want to visit Malta and meet other travelers then I recommend you base yourself at Boho!

Very friendly familiar atmosphere. It was not overun but there were so many friendly people from all quarters at the age of 20 to 35. I recommend this hostel for those who want to meet new people and stay in a tidy place. It is approximately 15min by foot to the city centre of st. Julian's.

The owner and the staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered! They had an open ear for any problem, give great tips and recommendations about what to see and where to go and help out where they can! Or breakfast was made to order every morning and was simply fabulous! Just as friendly was their house cat, who made the stay perfect.

the shower is clean, i mean there is no trouble with water like in other youth hostels.

Excellent hostel - a very homely and relaxed atmosphere, coupled with a friendly environment for solo / group bagpackers. Penny, the hostess, is extremely welcoming and clearly takes great pride in her hospitality, which is rare to find these days. Goes without saying this is a very safe, clean and comfortable hostel. Highly recommended!

It is very bohemian, a very welcoming, open and friendly atmosphere. Free wi-fi is a bonus in the evenings and the kitchen and bathrooms were kept very clean. We even got free vegetables from the garden! I plan to visit again as soon as possible!

Very friendly, helpful and well informed owner, Penny. Individualised service. Excellent breakfast with different choices every day cooked to order. Spacious dorms and bathrooms. Good wifi coverage. Lovely garden with hammocks, soft chairs, cushions. Great communal spaces with good atmosphere. Penny organised a BBQ one night - everyone brought food but Penny provided extras. Security lockers for valuables.

Excellent hostel & by far my favourite hostel during my travels. Shame I was there for such a short period. If I could have extended my stay, I would have! Boho is hard to describe, but i'll try by saying that it's one of those all-round places that give you a 'good-feel' kind of thing. The hostel itself if beautifully done up, functional ad always kept spotless. The host is so friendlyl and welcoming, young and enthusiastic, and overall just great with guests and with what she does. I spoke to her quite a bit over breakfast (which was AMAZIG) and she travels a lot & stays in hostels all over, so she picks up what people want from hostels. The location: Seriously, reading a couple of the reviews which state Boho is far from the center made me come close to not booking it- but guys it's location is really good, in a safe residential area, just a short walk (arond 10 minutes) to the centre and with very close bus stops. I think those few who think it's far either got lost or were very lazy. My most memorable moment was the hostel BBQ, which was fantastic- the food, the company, barbecuing in a garden. Few things beat that! I couldn'y recomend more.

I've stayed in dozens of hostels on my travels and Boho is the best by far. I originally only booked to stay a few nights but once I arrived knew I would be here longer. A month later I'm still here and love the place more than ever. Penny is lovely and the main thing that makes this hostel great. She'll do anything she can to help you out, show you all the best places to go and will always join the travellers in the lounge for a glass of wine or a game of cards in the evening which makes for a really nice atmosphere. The communal area has a TV, a PS2, a laptop with internet access and most importantly a warm, friendly atmosphere where people can hang out together. The garden is beautiful, especially in the sun, with a nice comfortable area for hanging out. And the breakfast is the best you will ever get in a hostel. It's great here. If I could rate Boho any higher I would.

The place has been arraged with taste and there are plenty of places to relax and have a chat with someone.

Boho has a lovely warm and cozy atmosphere and immediately makes anyone who walks through the entrance gate feel welcome. Penny, the owner, is very friendly and extremely helpful with any information. Also, the other travellers staying in the hostel are a great bunch of people and created a homely atmosphere.

Penny is a great facilitator and hostess! The Hostel has several hammocks to really get into a slower Maltese way of life. I only booked for one night before I arrived (en route to see some family in Gozo.) This plan changed once I met some fellow hostel patrons, within an afternoon we had half a dozen of us mobilised and executed a BBQ with little to no collateral. Between an Australian, a Brit, two Swedes, a Finnish guy and a gentleman from Iceland we had an excellent and diverse night. After this I had to stay two more nights and my beloved family had to wait just a little bit longer! It is far enough away from Paceville that the noise doesn't impinge on your sleep but close enough that you can walk with little difficulty. I really enjoyed my stay at Boho Hostel.

Villa cycas is great, really exceeded all my expectations. It's a beautiful and clean villa which really makes for a great chill out space. The villa has an easy going atmosphere with a really nice host- Penny, the hostess with the mostess!!!!! Free internet and lockers greatly appreciated, as were the lemon and orange trees!!! Will definitely be back.
