The large backyard with grill and firepit available encourage socializing in summer under the midnight sun, and year around there is plenty of room in the common areas to hang out, we have board games available, piano and guitar if you play. (Just please respect posted quiet hours!)

Glacier House was originally our family home, full of kids and friends. While loving Fairbanks as our "home base", we have always loved to travel, and hostels have long been our first choice for lodging. When the kids grew up we decided it was a perfect opportunity to offer the kind of experience we enjoyed to others. We have been happily welcoming the world to Fairbanks and Glacier House since 2009.

The owner Gay Elen is terrific? she is like a mother for guests, giving rides to the grossery stor, to the University (if it is on the way) Alex and Gay are always smiling and friendly, it is like at home. The house is big, two kitchens, two bathrooms, all facilities are awailable
